The 12 Kits of Christmas: April 2012

Round 4 of the most fun group I am a part of!! Wondering what in the world I'm talking about? Check out my first post here which explains everything. I created these early this month since I was on vacation for 1/2 the month, so I've been holding on to these cards so long and have been itching to show them off! This month's kit was created by Marybeth, and look at all the supplies she sent!

Well it has been my goal to create at least 4 cards with each kit, but Marybeth sent enough to create 6, and I STILL had supplies left over too! So without further ado, here are my creations:

And here they are all lined up together:

These are not supplies that I would have chosen for myself, but that is why I love this group so much, it makes me step out of my comfort zone and try new things, that I end up loving! Everything I used was from her kit except for the cardstock bases, the Hawaiian Shores ribbon, the twine on the lamppost card, and the Nestabilities die I used on the sentiment card. So which card do you like the best? I like the first one with the bright Hawaiian shores and the sweet little girls. Wondering where these supplies came from? Well, Marybeth sent along a list.

Stamps: Girls: Stampendous, Wise Men: Paper Inspiration, Lamppost: Inkadinkado
Dies: Memory Box: Star of Wonder, Country Landscape, Frostyville Border, Jinglebell Border, and Holly Vine, Papertrey Ink: In the Meadow, Spellbinders: Banner Ribbons
Paper: Carcstock: PTI, Minds Eye: The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby
Ribbon or twine: Decorative trim from Hobby Lobby, Glitter Eyelash from Martha Stewart
Randon Bling: Hobby Lobby

Okay, you must be pumped up to see what everyone else was able to create...I know I am!

  1. You are only the second post I have seen, but I do believe you are going to be the winner with the most cards! Six? Wow. The coloring of the cute angels is just great, wish I had thought of that great color combination. I love how you highlighted several cards using the big sentiments. You used the right combination of frames and patterned papers to make them shine. My favorite is the one with the music pattern paper and the holly leaves on the side. I am a sucker for music background paper...have to admit I saved mine as I just couldn't cut it up! Great job this month, and you even took a vacation!

  2. I have to agree with Cathy, you win! Six cards is just amazing and I am so happy I have left overs in my kit so I can CASE a few of yours. They are all just so beautiful and I love them all and happy that I don't have to select a favorite. Beautiful job!

  3. You cards are all so clever, beautiful, and wonderful. No wonder you were waiting impatiently for today. I love them all, and will refuse to pick a favorite. I did see you use a couple of elements that I saved, so I'll be casing you for sure.

  4. Jessica I cant believe you made all these before vacation! Each one is gorgeous! If I did not already know your style I would never guess this is out of your comfort zone. I am happy to see that you made so many! Its very hard to pick but I think I like the last one the best, the layout and the way you did the lp is just gorgeous! I did not even know what to do with the bells, you sure came up with a beautiful card using them. Grate job and thanks for so many new ideas for more cards.

  9. Jessica - Wow! You really got a lot accomplished here! The thing that struck me most was your clever use of the pattern papers! I like how you broke them up to make such interesting backgrounds. I think my favorite is the lamp post - I love the strip of music - and that twine was brilliant! The Hawaiian Shores with the angels makes them a real stand out. What a fantastic bunch of cards!

  10. Incredible work this month, my friend! I love every single one of these! The bright turquoise is such a fabulous accent to your sweet colored angels, and I love the simplicity of your second card with the country landscape--so poignant. Each and every card has such beautiful details, but my favorite is definitely the lamp post! Perfectly layered papers, simply colored, and the twine adds a wonderful finishing touch.

  11. Wow, I agree--you are the winner! Can't imagine doing six cards and such a fabulous job on all of them! Love how you used the music background and your lamp post card is wonderful! But my two favorite are the Country Landscape done in navy & cream--so stylish and pretty! And your adorable angels--so festive with the mix of papers, the bells and the turquoise! They are a definite 'make me smile" card!
