This month our kit came all the way from Canada! When I opened Tracey's kit I immediately smiled when I saw the bright colors and sweet little suns and clouds :) There were also two cool striped straws that I just didn't know what to do with so I'm looking forward to seeing what the other girls create with them! I think my favorite card I made is the last one because it reminds me of my own sweet "Sunny." The second card comes just at the right time for one of my coworkers who is having a tough time in her relationship, I really like that quote and I think it will mean a lot to her. I have a lot more from the kit sitting on my desk with some partial cards made, but these were the only three full ones that I had ready to share. You better believe I will be making some more soon, though! Now make sure to check out my talented friends this month as well. And one of our original 12 Kitters is back this month, Suzanne!

Check out this awesome country kit that Marybeth sent us this month! It's called Song of the South. Its a perfect kit for me because Phillip is always trying to get me to say that I'm a Yankee now that I live in MA. I tell him no, I lived more of my life in the south, so I'm a Southern Bell!
I loved the red, kraft, and black color combo, the jars, and all the animals! I could have made so so much with this kit, but this month I was only able to make 3. Rest assured that you will be seeing more of this kit in the future :) My favorite is the first card. Lots of layered goodness. I'm always needing thank you cards (isn't that a great thing to be in need of?!) and this jar/rooster card will be sure to make the recipient smile. You'll see that I used all animals, banners, and jars on my cards. Love those combos! Make sure to go visit my talented crafty friends after my blog so you can see what they created with this fabulous kit. Enjoy!

Bye Bye Birdie was the theme this month...isn't that cute? Sharron did not disappoint with the many different kinds of birds in her kit! It was so much fun to choose which ones to use and believe me, I still have about 20 more birds sitting on my desk! My favorite two cards are the first two that I made, but the crane one reminds me so much of my grandma. If she were here I would love to send it to her. She used to have a crane that would come in her yard daily. She named it Liz and fed it hotdogs! It was nice to work with this kit, too, to remember that spring is right around the corner (which is hard to believe when you look out and see so much snow!). Check out my cards below and make sure to go to the 12 Kits blog to check out what all my talented crafty friends came up with! I know I will be going to check them out for sure! Thanks for stopping by :)

Here we are starting another year with the 12 Kits of Occasions! This month Kelly sent us an adorable kit. I mean, coffee cups with smiley faces? Too cute! I loved the fun colors and all the great dies! I sat down with this kit and quickly turned out 6 cards in no time flat. It was so fun to work with :) There are some changes coming to our group this year so keep an eye/ear out on the 12 kits blog to see what's up! And also make sure to go there to see a display of the handy work of my fellow "kitters" this month, with links to their blogs too. I know I'm looking forward to it!

So I'm thinking that my New Years Resolution should be to do my blog posts before the night before they are due! I had three cards made (which I was feeling bad enough about, I could have made 14 with this kit easily!) and then my camera battery dies, I couldn't find the cord, and then they wouldn't upload! So when I finally got these two and the 3rd was unrecognizable I decided to go on without it. Its too bad because it was a cutie card that I made for my neighbor's first birthday which is Wednesday! Cathy sent us this absolutely adorable baby themed kit. I know that I will use it again because I didn't even scratch the surface of its cuteness! Here are the two cards that I was able to upload tonight. You may be seeing that third one later ;)
Don't forget to check out the cuteness made by my very talented friends by visiting the 12 Kits blog!!

Hi everyone and welcome back for our monthly installment of the 12 Kits of Occasions! Kim sent us this amazing Christmas kit with all different styles wrapped up in one little package (and that package was all dressed up for the holidays, too, with adorable chevron bags and a sweet santa tag :) Guess what...I already sent these cards out to the lucky recipients! I have a few more Christmas cards that I need to whip together to send out but I must say that the 12 kits group saved the day yet again this year because I was prepared with so many beautiful and unique cards to send out. I already sent to 35 people on my list and plan to send to the rest this week. What a nice feeling to be able to check that Christmas item off my list before its even December! So without further ado, I made 5 cards this month, check them out:

Hi everyone! I am so lucky to have been asked by my friend Tracey McNeeley for the second year in a row to participate in her 25 Days of Christmas Tags! This year she had so many people join in that the 12 Kits Group is all chipping in on one day. So you will get to see tags from all of my 12 Kits Friends on their blogs today, too! Make sure to go to Tracey's blog here to see her tag along with the rest of the group's tags. So for mine I just HAD to use this Alpine Carolers set that I got from Mama Elephant. The minute I saw it I was in love with it :) And of course I made 3 of them to look like my little family. Too bad their weren't dogs and a cat, too...then I could have made the whole gang!
I tried some new techniques on this tag. I used a stencil for the snow and some distress inks, then I used a wink of stella glitter pen to add some sparkle to the snow. The people were colored with Copics, and the tag itself was altered from the PTI wine tag! I cut off the top part that usually hangs over the wine bottle, but then I needed some type of tag top, so I used the circle that comes out of the die (from the part where the die goes over the bottle) glued it on the back, punched a hole, and wah-lah! The card stock and ribbons are from Stampin' Up and the twine from the twinery.
Now did you know that Tracey is offering up some amazing prizes?! Check out the companies that the prizes are from:
• Reverse Confetti
• Clearly Besotted
• CAS-ual Fridays
• Neat and Tangled
• Paper Smooches
Would you like to win one? Well guess what? One of the commenters from my blog will be put in to the drawing that takes place on Nov. 28th. So make sure to comment for your chance to win one of those fabulous prizes! Thanks for stopping by :)
