The 12 Kits of Occasions: March 2018

Welcome to my hostess month for the 12 kits of occasions! I am so lucky to always be in need of Thank You cards, so that is what I based my kit around this month...thanks! I used a bunch of stamp sets, some that have been well loved, and others that had never seen ink. I found some fun watercolor patterned paper that helped me to come up with the color combination that I used. The stamp sets come from Concord & 9th, Mama Elephant, My Favorite Things, and Paper Smooches. I can't wait to see how the girls used these kits I put together! Here are the cards that I created:

12 Kits of Occasions January 2018: Snow Day!

This month Jeanne gave us a fun kit full of colorful patterned papers, sequins, bling, and embellishments galore as well as an assortment of cute and fancy images. It was so fun and easy to work with this kit, there was just so much! I swear I got half a pad of patterned paper alone :) I don't think I own a single thing that she sent so that made it extra fun, too. Thanks, Jeanne, for the awesome snow day kit! (and interestingly enough we have snow forecasted for today, too!).

Wow, I can't believe this concludes another year of the 12 kits group! What a fun year it has been, and Tracey sure didn't disappoint with her gorgeous kit! I didn't have a single thing from the kit, so it was super fun to work with. And the bright and cheerful colors were just what I needed :) Thanks for a wonderful kit, Tracey! 

The 12 Kits of Occasions November 2017

This month was my month! I had so much fun putting together this kit full of cute images. When I saw this adorable yeti stamp set that Mama Elephant came out with I just knew I wanted to use it, and that's when the kit started coming together. I bought several new stamp sets to use and these icy blue patterned papers  to go along with him. I just can't wait to see what the girls did with this kit! Unfortunately I suffered a loss in the family and just wasn't able to get to my own kit. The ladies in my group, however, jumped in and set the whole thing up for me. I can't tell you how thankful I am for each and every one of them, and how honored I am to be in this group of talented women! Here is the one card I was able to make this month. I will definitely be borrowing some of the ideas put forth in the other 12 kitters blogs :)

Happy Halloween! This month's kit is from Nancy, and man was it cute! I don't have any of these images, so it was fun to work with these adorable cats :) I moved where my lightbox is and my pictures turned out crooked (new angle) but I had already sealed these cards in envelopes to send, so oh well...we'll say it gives them more interest, haha. Can I tell you how much I LOVED this kit? Everything was sooo adorable. Jeanne put together the most amazing kit. I made a LOT of cards, but there are so many supplies left I could even double this amount. I have a couple of these stamp sets that haven't seen ink yet, but now I've got the stampin' bug to use them some more. Thanks so much, Jeanne for this amazing kit! So I've been overly busy this month, and on top of that I have what I'm pretty sure is a sinus infection, but I could not let a month go by without making some cards for our monthly post, especially with such a great kit! 12 Kits of Occasions January 2017

This fun kit was from our very own Lindsey this month! She sent all things I didn't have, so it was great to work with! I loved the pineapples, especially. And the fun patterns and colors that she sent. I had SO many die cuts leftover...I really can make many more cards with this kit. Good thing, too, because this year we'll be having a leftovers month :) So expect to see more! 12 Kits of Occasions December 2016

Hi everyone! Merry belated Christmas and a happy new year! This month it was my turn to send out a kit to all of my talented friends. I don't know about you, but I feel that I send thank you cards the most out of any card, especially after Christmas, and this year is no different, I need a lot! I'm so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family that spoil me and I love the chance to send a handmade card. So I knew that I wanted to make my kit a thank you kit. I used some of my new MFT stamps, and got my silhouette cranking for some of the word sentiments. The black and gold theme came about when I was looking for the right patterned papers to use. I didn't want them to be too Christmasey since Christmas is technically over (even though the girls got the kit at the beginning of the month!). I made 5 cards and have enough to make several more (and I will, because 5 notes isn't enough!) 12 Kits of Occasions October 2016

Michele sent us a wonderful kit. I'm always needing thank you cards more than anything else! But this month I just couldn't devote as much time as usual to the kit :( I can't wait to see what everyone else did so I can get some inspiration and use the rest of my supplies. I'm embarrassed to show you the measly two cards I created, but here they are: (can you tell that I liked the leaf/feathers?!) Also, as I was going to upload from my camera we found out that with the last update my camera is no longer supported! So I had to take these with my phone.

12 Kits of Occasions September 2016

So this kit came in its own BOX! It was so full of TONS of paper, die cuts, embellishments, etc. I had high hopes of making at least 8 or so cards, but life got in the way and I only made 4 this month, but I'm telling you, I could have made SO many! Jeanne totally spoiled us, and I just loved the cute images :) Here are the cards I was able to create:

Well, I don't know how she did it, but Lindsey did back to back AMAZING kits! Remember how I made 10 cards last month? Well, I could have easily done that again, but this month you get a measly 5...not for lack of supplies in the kit, I assure you! Just for lack of time on my end this month. I really loved playing with the fun colors and so many neat images and die cuts...I definitely have a lot left so I can Case!
