The 12 Kits of Christmas: July 2012

This month's beautiful kit was created by our very own Christina of Sea Glass and Sentiments. Boy did she send SOOO much stuff! I seriously could have made at least 3-5 more cards, but I stopped because of our new monthly addition that you'll learn more about at the end of this post.

Did you just happen by and have no idea what the 12 Kits of Christmas is? Well check out my first blog post in January, here, which explains all the details. Now on to the cards!

So I actually have 3 favorites this month! Both bird cards, and the one with the red bow and branch. This was such a great kit to work with, Christina!

And a new addition to our monthly cards...a Case! Everyone has a lot of supplies left over from other kits and decided that it would be fun to case a card from one of the other members each month. (I have to start saving some more supplies, now!). So for my first Case, I chose this card from Christina:

Now I didn't have the woodgrain impression plate, so I used some Amuse woodgrain paper. I also didn't have another red window cut out, so I used green, and used my own embossing folder for the snow which was slightly different from her's, but you get the idea ;) Thanks for such a great card for inspiration, Christina!

  9. Oh Jessica, you outdid yourself! I love your first card with the xmas tree and the twine bow. Putting the branch over the die on the second card was really smart! I also loved the 1,2,3,4,5,6 card...great way to use those pieces of the kit. You made a case I almost made myself...love those windows and the girl on the sled. Great job on Christinas kit ...you are so talented!

  10. Don't make me pick a favorite because I think they are all fab! I'm scrolling through them like I'm looking at fireworks... oooh ,.... aahhhh... love seeing all the different ways you used the elements.. I really like the pp that you broke into blocks on the last one - so clever! But I adore the birds too! Forget it - I won't even try - I love them ALL!

  11. Wow, girl, you did an incredible job with this kit! If I *had* to pick a favorite, I would have to say I really love the first one with the red bird perched on the banner and the great mix of patterned papers. I like how you added the branch to the label on the second one, and I am definitely inspired to use that collage-style paper now. Your red poinsettias look fantastic against the olive damask, and I'm loving how several of us put a bird in that pretty pine branch. I still have the paper with the number blocks to use, so thanks for the idea to break it up--it looks great! Finally, you are so sweet to CASE one of my fave cards from our first month. The red woodgrain is a fantastic twist. Thanks for all of the inspiration, Jessica!

  12. WOW, all so gorgeous, Jessica! And you used one of the birds with the tree--so adorable! Love how you so effectively used the different patterned papers. Awesome bird card and I adore the way you cut the number blocks and used them behind a sentiment! Great job with everything!! Love your version of the CASE card too. The woodgrain and brighter color gives a whole new look--very pretty!

  13. Jessica, I love your CASE card, so sweet. All of your cards are just so stunning and beautiful, my favorite one is your poinsettia card and I love how you layered the two different sizes. Another set of cards that make me happy to still have lots of left overs to play with. Thank you so much for your incredible inspiration...love them all.

  14. Oh, Jessica! They're all so great!!! I'll start at the bottom - the CASE is so fresh and modern! Love how it's so similar but also different! LOVE the handcut poinsetties and the numbers cards, too - I didn't know what to do with those. And I love all the little details you have added - the pinking border, the brads - so beautiful.
