Hello Friends! I'm glad that I was able to whip together a card last night to join in on this month's Blog Hop Festivities. I am so jealous that I missed all the Stamp-a-Faire fun that I knew I couldn't miss out on today. Here is my card:
These are the colors that were our inspiration for this month's hop:
Everything I used is from PTI except the pearls which are Recollections from Michaels.
Notice the strategically place pearls in the sentiment?? Great for covering up an ink smudge! And you thought I put them there intentionally ;)
Sorry for such a quick post today. I'm actually at work finishing up my post (shhh!!!) so that it can be part of the blog hop. I look forward to checking out everyone's creations later on!
Beautiful, Jessica!! I love when fixing a mistake adds to a design!! I won't tell your boss what you're doing...lol!!
ReplyDeleteI used the same sentiment on my blog hop card!
ReplyDeleteYour card is lovely, Jessica! I love how you covered the ink smudge with a pearl-- very creative!
so lovely, friend! I don't even want to admit that I haven't opened my Rosie Posie yet! ACK! And I hear ya on the smudges! I covered mine up today with a flower die cut! LOL
ReplyDeleteWOW, Beautiful card....I love the strategically placed pearls...I do them all the time. Very pretty card.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Jessica! Love the pearl accents and touch of filagree!!
ReplyDeleteLove the pearls...
ReplyDeleteI use them all the time...
but now you have to wonder if I do it on purpose or because I'm a bull in a china store when it comes to inking!! *giggle*
Fabulous card...
love the Rosie Posie and filigree border! :)
It's a beautiful card! I like this rather clean design, and you've chosen a gorgeous pink as the background. The sentiment is really decorative, with the addition of the pearls. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteThe pearl accents are so beautiful! I love your bold & bright card.
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful. I thought the pearls were meant to be there! Love how you made such a bold interpretation of the colors.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Jessica, your roses are perfect.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. You did a great job. Just be thankful that your smudges can be covered up with a teeny, tiny pearl. Beautiful.
ReplyDeletelove the balance of white & vibrant colors & the pearls are perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove this card! The pears are genious! I'll have to remember that trick! I love the use of the Berry Sorbet as the card base and the white of the border on the bottom! It really pops!
ReplyDeleteI love the filigree border tucked under the green panel. I am convinced that bling was created for the sole purpose of covering uh-oh's. Great job with the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThis is such an elegant card. That border looks great with the roses.
ReplyDeleteI love the juxtaposition of all the frill on the bottom with the elegant simplicity on the top of the card.
ReplyDeleteJessica, this is absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Jessica! I love the pink base with your pretty flowers. And the green strip and filigree border are fabulous finishing touches!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card
ReplyDeleteLovely card Jessica! I really like the touch of pearls. Glad you got to join the blog hop. I missed out on that and SAF.
ReplyDeleteSooooo pretty! I love the colors you used and the little details are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThe pearls were a real make-it-work moment! Love all the layers and details on this card Jessica. Awesome job!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card - Rosie Posie was so popular when it was released, but sadly it seems to have been replaced by The Sweet Life. Glad to see someone used it for Blog Hop! Your pearl placement is perfect - great idea for saving a gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteJessica, beautiful card...I love how we both used some of the same elements in making this card, but yours is just so incredible. Those pearls really add a wonderful touch of class to your already stunning card.
ReplyDeleteLove everything about this ~ the flowers, pearls, filigree border, and the berry sorbet (or melon berry?) card base ~ or should I just have said non-white card base? ~ Just a beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteI've been meaning to comment on this for weeks....I love it!
