Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge #17

When shopping on Ellen Hutson for their seasonal stamp sale, I accidentally came across this adorable Taylored Expressions set, and you better believe that I couldn't pass it up...campers with Christmas lights? Yes, please! Since I got it after Christmas I decided to use it to make some thank you cards! And I'm sure it will be reappearing next year for Christmas :) This is my first time playing along with a Share Joy challenge. I made 3 of these cards (one had the larger camper image on it) and gave one to my husband, and will be sending the others to his great aunt & uncle and one of his cousins to thank for a fabulous Christmas with them. If you would like to join in on this challenge, you can see the details here. I like that they give you the choice to use either or both the color and sketch challenges offered. This time I decided to just use the sketch.

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #261

Playing along with last week's MFT Sketch challenge was so fun that I decided to do it again, with more of my new MFT stamps! I made two types of these cards for this sketch and I liked them so much that I ended up making 9 more as thank you cards. Its hard to decide between the ornament and present card, but I think I like the present one the best, what about you? I have even more new MFT stamps, so you may be seeing me play along with one of the challenges again, soon!

12 Kits of Occasions December 2015

Oh My GOSH! This kit was SOOO amazing! I also had it completed almost before the month began, and thank goodness, because I was short on Christmas cards...but Lindsey to the rescue! I created TEN with her fabulous kit. I also found some new stamps to love and had to purchase the Ellen Hutson house stamps and dies because they were just so darn cute. It's really hard for me to pick my favorite card this time because I just love the colors and images. I chose the "peace" card for the blog because it is so serene and reminds me of camping. I actually gave it to Phillip as his card because of it. I really loved this kit oh so much!

Make sure to head over to the 12 Kits blog after you check out my cards (it may take you awhile, don't forget I made 10!) to check out what the other ladies created and see the supply list, but also for some news! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas, and here's wishing you a very crafty new year :)

Hi everyone! This month Renee was our hostess, and oh my! This kit was so her :) I know that I tell you every month that I could have made more cards with the kit, but I am not kidding... Renee sent SOOO much! I had planned to make more, but it didn't happen, but I still got 3 :)

Tracey's 25 Tags of Christmas

What an honor it was when I received an email from Tracey McNeely asking me if I would be a part of her 25 Days of Christmas Tags! Tracey is sooooo sweet and talented. I am truly lucky to be a part of the 12 Kits of Occasions group with her and to be able to call her my friend :) I'm also glad that she asked me because it forced me to get into my craft room (which still has dust on it from when our house was a construction zone!). This tag was fun to make and came together pretty easily. I know that some Christmas present this year will look really cute with this tag hanging off of it!

25 Tags of Christmas

The tag die is from PTI. The tag stamp is from Mama Elephant. The sentiment, birds, leaves, and hearts are from Lawn Fawn. The patterned paper is also from Lawn Fawn. The ribbon is from PTI and the wooden snowflake is from Recollections. If you missed any of Tracey's tags you have missed out, so make sure to go back and check them out!

The 12 Kits of Occasions November 2013

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I love when our kits include Christmas supplies, especially this one! Kelly sent us an amazing kit with a chalkboard theme that I am totally loving. Who would have thought I'd create so many black and white Christmas cards? I really had an awesome time with this kit, thanks Kelly!

This month was Christmas again and Sharron sent the kit :) She sent such a wide variety of supplies and I loved working with them. So I'm about 12 hours late on this one...I'm going to blame it on pregnancy brain...I thought I had until tomorrow morning! But I am here now and here are the cards I was able to create this month:

The 12 Kits of Holidays February 2013

Yay! Its the most wonderful time of the month! Time for my 12 Kits of Holidays post :) This month Renee sent us a kit JAM PACKED with supplies! Seriously, I could have made about 10 more cards! I think she sent us every pattern in the paper pack. It was so fun trying to choose what to use.

Here's a picture, compliments of Kara, that shows you the beautiful array of supplies that we received in our kit:

Here are the cards that I created this month:

So my favorites are the first card and the reindeer card, what about you? I loved the vintage feel of the kit this month, and the fact that some of the sentiments said "ya'll!!" This is something I still sometimes say, being from Florida, and I can definitely picture Renee saying it :)

Now I can't wait to hop around and see what everyone else made, and you can too!

The 12 Kits of Christmas December 2012

Welcome to the last 12 Kits of Christmas post of 2012! I can't believe its here. I have enjoyed this group SO much! Because of it, I got my Christmas cards out in the first week of December this year, and that is a record for me! Usually I'm still working on them on Christmas eve, so they don't get sent out until late. I'm super excited about next year, there will be some changes, and I already have next month's kit containing some of the changes, so make sure to stop by on the last day in January to find out what I'm talking about!

Now, this months kit was sent by Sharron, and boy oh boy did I love it! In fact, I made the most cards that I've made out of any month...a total of 8!

And here are the 8 cards I made...a great start to my stash for 2013!

Little Tangles #3

Little Tangles #3

Merry Christmas! So I screwed up this morning and posted the PTI blog hop card a day early LOL! So I'm saving that one until tomorrow. In the meantime, here is the card that I made for this week's Little Tangles Color challenge:

The sentiment and note are from Neat and Tangles. Its hard to tell from the photo, but they are stamped in red. The washi tape is from Recollections, the ribbon from Amuse, the cardstock from PTI, the patterned paper from My Mind's Eye, and the snowflake from Sizzix. The cool sequin looking stick on eyelets were in some happy mail from one of my 12 Kits friends, Jeanne. Thanks, Jeanne!

I hope you were all as lucky as I was this Christmas in the craft department...I got tons of Lawn Fawn sets, some cardstock, ribbon, buttons, and a subscription to CARDS magazine!!!!

Lawnscaping #48: Make It Shine!

Lawnscaping: Make It Shine #1

Hi everyone! I know that my blog has been pretty quiet lately, well, I have 4 days off for a little (much needed!) Christmas break, so I plan to spend a lot of that time in my poor neglected craft room! I already made two cards tonight :) Both for the Lawnscaping Challenge that is going on now. It's to use glitter or rhinestones to make your card sparkle!

I used some rhinestones that were sent to me in a surprise happy mail package that I received this week! I love this time of year, there are either cards or other surprises in the mail every day :) Thanks, Sharron, for these great rhinestones! The paper is from My Mind's Eye, cardstock is PTI. I used Encore silver ink to make the sentiment shine, too :) Stamps are Lawn Fawn. I'm also going to enter this card into this week's SimonSaysStamp challenge which is to make anything "Christmasey."

Paper Smooches Sparks Cool Shades December 2012

Paper Smooches Sparks December 2012 Cool Shades

It's Paper Smooches Sparks time!

This month's color challenge was to use red, green, white, and yellow. I couldn't resist making a Partridge in a Pear tree using "Winter Grooves" :) The sentiments are created from the "We Connect" set. That paper had the perfect colors for the challenge! It is from This and That from My Mind's Eye. The cardstock is from PTI and the ribbon from Amuse.

You have all week to link up to the challenge, so come on a give it a shot! Check it out here.

Now go on over to the DT blogs and see how they worked their creative magic with these colors!
