12 Kits of Occasions December 2014

So I'm thinking that my New Years Resolution should be to do my blog posts before the night before they are due! I had three cards made (which I was feeling bad enough about, I could have made 14 with this kit easily!) and then my camera battery dies, I couldn't find the cord, and then they wouldn't upload! So when I finally got these two and the 3rd was unrecognizable I decided to go on without it. Its too bad because it was a cutie card that I made for my neighbor's first birthday which is Wednesday! Cathy sent us this absolutely adorable baby themed kit. I know that I will use it again because I didn't even scratch the surface of its cuteness! Here are the two cards that I was able to upload tonight. You may be seeing that third one later ;)

The 12 Kits of Occasions November 2014

Hi everyone and welcome back for our monthly installment of the 12 Kits of Occasions! Kim sent us this amazing Christmas kit with all different styles wrapped up in one little package (and that package was all dressed up for the holidays, too, with adorable chevron bags and a sweet santa tag :) Guess what...I already sent these cards out to the lucky recipients! I have a few more Christmas cards that I need to whip together to send out but I must say that the 12 kits group saved the day yet again this year because I was prepared with so many beautiful and unique cards to send out. I already sent to 35 people on my list and plan to send to the rest this week. What a nice feeling to be able to check that Christmas item off my list before its even December! So without further ado, I made 5 cards this month, check them out:

25 Days of Christmas Tags Guest Spot!

Hi everyone! I am so lucky to have been asked by my friend Tracey McNeeley for the second year in a row to participate in her 25 Days of Christmas Tags! This year she had so many people join in that the 12 Kits Group is all chipping in on one day. So you will get to see tags from all of my 12 Kits Friends on their blogs today, too! Make sure to go to Tracey's blog here to see her tag along with the rest of the group's tags. So for mine I just HAD to use this Alpine Carolers set that I got from Mama Elephant. The minute I saw it I was in love with it :) And of course I made 3 of them to look like my little family. Too bad their weren't dogs and a cat, too...then I could have made the whole gang!



I tried some new techniques on this tag. I used a stencil for the snow and some distress inks, then I used a wink of stella glitter pen to add some sparkle to the snow. The people were colored with Copics, and the tag itself was altered from the PTI wine tag! I cut off the top part that usually hangs over the wine bottle, but then I needed some type of tag top, so I used the circle that comes out of the die (from the part where the die goes over the bottle) glued it on the back, punched a hole, and wah-lah! The card stock and ribbons are from Stampin' Up and the twine from the twinery.

The 12 Kits of Occasions October 2014

It's here! My month of hostessing for the 12 Kits of Occasions! What fun I had gathering supplies for the kit and choosing which companies to use :) Thank goodness my mom was visiting the week I sent these out or they may still be at my house... thanks for your help, mom! This first card was definitely my favorite...I just can't get over the cuteness! Most of these cards have actually already been sent to family because believe it or not, we just celebrated Sonny's first birthday and we needed some thank-you cards (good timing). My kit was fall and thank you. The 12 Kits of Occasions September 2014

I've been busy finishing up my kit for next month (thank goodness my parents are visiting... put my mom to work to help me finish up!) so I didn't get to put as much time into this month as I normally like to. And then my camera stopped working... tonight! Ahhhh! So these are on my cellphone, but hey they don't look that bad, actually. Anyway, here are four cards from four different kits from the year. I could have made at least four cards from each kit from the whole year, though, because there are SO many leftovers! The 12 Kits of Occasions August 2014

Hi everyone! Kara sent us the most awesome and colorful kit this month! She even sent a wplus9 stamp set to go along with it! It was so fun to stamp out the paint splatters...I see this set getting a lot of use in the future ;) She also sent some cool glossy paper but silly me....I couldn't figure out how to use it... I'm sure its some fancy technique, but when I stamped on it I just made a big mess, so I'm looking forward to seeing what the other ladies created with it so I can put it to some good use! So anyway, I didn't have as much time as I hoped this month, but I still have three cards to share with you :)

 

The first is for my niece who is celebrating the big 3 in October! I know that she'll love this colorful card:

 

 

This one is for her dad who is also celebrating his birthday in October:

 

 

And this one is just one for the stash ;)

 

 

Next month is a left overs month but then after that its my month! I have fall...I love fall. When I grew up we didn't have fall (I grew up in FL) so now, living in New England, I really cherish it! Hope you all enjoy your labor day weekend, we'll be camping in NH enjoying the great outdoors :)

The 12 Kits of Occasions July 2014

Its Christmas in July! I really need to build my Christmas stash...I think that this time last year I already had over 30 or more Christmas cards.. this year I need to get with the program! Thank goodness Tracey sent us an adorable kit to work with this month :) I just love the snowman on the second card, and that cool star confetti paper on the third. I actually had to hoard some of the paper to save for my Christmas Project Life pages because it was SOOO cute! And those gold sequins? Die cuts!! Thanks for such an awesome kit Tracey! :)

12 Kits of Occasions May 2014

Back for my monthly post! Its 12 Kits time and this month Joyce was our hostess! What a great masculine theme. I just loved working with the fun colors and the rope stamps...I need to get the set with those sentiments and the rope borders... love it! The 12 Kits of Occasions April 2014

Its time for our April kit and I sat down to make cards...I was loving the colors and all the different elements that I had to play with. I made what I thought was just a few cards... but then I counted them and totally shocked myself...I made TEN!!! Thanks for this simply gorgeous kit, Jeanne, as you can see I really enjoyed it ;)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was an accident that I made the cards so small, but I thought they were cute all liked up, so I kept them there, hehe. Now off to see what the other gals have created! Thanks for stopping by :)
