Due to a blizzard this weekend, I was able to get some extra crafty time in! So I decided to play along with the Cloudwplus9 blog hop that's going on. Here is the inspiration photo that we were given this month:
I was inspired by the brown bags (I used burlap instead for some texture) the items popping out of the bags (that's why I used the pocket with the letters and heart popping out) and the patterned background (hence my chevron background). This was a great inspiration photo and was fun to create the card :) The stamps are from wplus9, the paper is Studio Calico and My Mind's Eye, the twine is from the Twinery and the burlap is from 7Gypsies.
Hope you are staying warm and cozy! Love your card and the way you used the burlap in place of paper bags. Fun and creative......as always.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute. Love the burlap, and your little pocket.
ReplyDeleteJessica, I miss you, your card is amazing. I love the patterns and the texture of the burlap. Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThe texture is awesome Jessica! I love the navy paper too...that single heart is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love the cool modern papers you used and the different elements like the inverted scalloped circle border and burlap - this is so edgy and fun! Glad there was some positive to come from all that snow!
ReplyDeleteExtra crafty time is probably the only good thing about blizzards! Love that you used burlap on your card - it adds great color and texture! The little pocket full of hearts is adorable, too! So glad you could join us at Cloud9 this month!
ReplyDeleteWell, I love that I have this in my hands now! The burlap was an awesome idea, Jess, and it looks great. I love what you've done with the paper with that single heart standing out and the pocket stamp. Awesome card!!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! The burlap texture is fantastic! I just love the single heart tucked into the pocket with the love notes.
ReplyDeleteWonderful patterned papers, Jessica! And I love the burlap. It adds such great texture. Your pocket with the notes & hearts is so sweet. Great Valentine's card!!
ReplyDeleteLove the use of the burlap here Jessica - it adds so much interest here without detracting from the patterned papers! Love the sweet pocketful of love notes!
