Hi everyone! Merry belated Christmas and a happy new year! This month it was my turn to send out a kit to all of my talented friends. I don't know about you, but I feel that I send thank you cards the most out of any card, especially after Christmas, and this year is no different, I need a lot! I'm so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family that spoil me and I love the chance to send a handmade card. So I knew that I wanted to make my kit a thank you kit. I used some of my new MFT stamps, and got my silhouette cranking for some of the word sentiments. The black and gold theme came about when I was looking for the right patterned papers to use. I didn't want them to be too Christmasey since Christmas is technically over (even though the girls got the kit at the beginning of the month!). I made 5 cards and have enough to make several more (and I will, because 5 notes isn't enough!) Now please make sure to stop by the 12 kits blog as well to see what everyone else made with their kits!

12 Kits of Occasions November 2016
Oh my gosh, I LOVED this kit! I so wish I would have purchased this exclusive set before it sold out! They brought back the mouse one, though, so fingers crossed for this in the future :) Anyway, I was able to make 5 cards with this adorable kit that Kim sent, and not a minute too soon, I need them to send out! I've also been busy working on my own kits which are for next month. I got them finished over the weekend and mailed out on Monday, hooray! Make sure to check the 12 kits blog for some exciting (and sad) announcements about next year, and of course to see what all my talented friends created with the kit, too!

12 Kits of Occasions October 2016
Michele sent us a wonderful kit. I'm always needing thank you cards more than anything else! But this month I just couldn't devote as much time as usual to the kit :( I can't wait to see what everyone else did so I can get some inspiration and use the rest of my supplies. I'm embarrassed to show you the measly two cards I created, but here they are: (can you tell that I liked the leaf/feathers?!) Please go to the blogs of my fellow 12 kitters to see how much you can really do with this kit! Also, as I was going to upload from my camera we found out that with the last update my camera is no longer supported! So I had to take these with my phone.

MFT Sketch Challenge #301 & Color Challenge #54
Here's another thank you card and another chance to play along with not one but two MFT challenges that are happening right now, the color challenge and the sketch challenge! One friend got Sonny an orange dinosaur for his birthday gift so I knew right away that I was going to be making an orange dinosaur card! I was able to snag this adorable "You're Rawr-some" set when it was on sale. I added a Lawn Fawn Hat and some balloons from a Mama Elephant set I had and Wa-lah! I think it turned out pretty darn cute! Here are the two challenges I'm playing along with:

MFT Sketch Challenge #301
I got Harvest Mouse last year when everyone was making the most adorable cards with it, but I got it too late to make fall cards...so I was dying to pull it out this year to make some :) Here is my first card with this adorable set! I used it to play along with this week's sketch challenge:
I'm always in need of thank you notes (that's a good thing!). This time for Sonny's 3rd birthday which just passed this past Sunday, there are so many people that were so thoughtful and I want to make sure they know they are appreciated :)
Sentiment is from Avery Elle, Harvest Mouse & die are from MFT
Cardstock is PTI and patterned paper is Lawn Fawn

12 Kits of Occasions September 2016
So this kit came in its own BOX! It was so full of TONS of paper, die cuts, embellishments, etc. I had high hopes of making at least 8 or so cards, but life got in the way and I only made 4 this month, but I'm telling you, I could have made SO many! Jeanne totally spoiled us, and I just loved the cute images :) Here are the cards I was able to create:
Make sure to go check out the cards that all the other ladies created, too!

MFT Superstar Challenge 2016
I thought I'd have time to create several cards for the MFT superstar challenge, but hey, at least I got one in :) Its going to be stiff competition, some of those cards submitted are downright amazing! I used two of my newer sets to create this card. For the leaves I embossed them in white on black card stock and they looked spooky enough for this Halloween card. Good luck everyone! What a thrill it would be to be one of the winners!

MFT Color Challenge #53
Got to play with more of the new release! My parents came to watch my son a couple of weeks ago while his daycare was on vacation, he had the BEST time! So I thought this sentiment was perfect :) And hey that scarecrow is just too cute, isn't he?

MFT Sketch Challenge #297 (take 2) & Color Challenge #53
Got to play with my new hedgehogs! Love them :) If I made this card again, however, I wouldn't do the hedgehog on the kraft. I do love how the leaves turned out on the kraft, though! I feel like the hedgehog is too light.

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #297
Back at it again! I've had the creative juices flowing. I've been cleaning up after each card and that has really helped. I used to leave it all out to where I had no room left on my desk or had no empty blocks, etc. Hopefully I keep this going because I'm on a roll!

MFT Color Challenge #52
Yay, I was able to participate in yet another MFT challenge! This one was all about the colors. I didn't have the exact ones, but got a pretty close match. For my birthday my brother and sister in law got me a gift card to Teavana, so I knew that I wanted to make them some type of tea card as a thank you...so here's what I made:
My sister in law will really love it because she loves the teal color (and tea!).
All supplies MFT except card stock (PTI).
MFT Sketch Challenge #296 Take 2
Here's the other card that I made with this week's sketch challenge. Inked up some more new stamps! And loving that water die.
All stamps and dies: MFT
Cardstock: PTI

MFT Sketch Challenge #296
I finally had some time to get in my craft room this weekend! I actually made 4 cards and it felt wonderful :) I made two for this sketch challenge, so you'll be seeing the next one tomorrow morning since there isn't much time left! I also finally inked up some of my new sets I got from several releases ago, which is a good thing since I know I'm going to be getting some new goodies from the release tomorrow!
I used my distress inks, I definitely need some practice with them, but I sort of got the look I was going for.
All stamps: MFT
Cardstock & Patterned paper: PTI

12 Kits of Occasions August 2016
Well, I feel like this month has been 100% crazy busy! We've had something going on every weekend and most week nights, too. I don't think its slowing down too much through the end of the year...but thank goodness I still have the 12 Kits girls sending me amazing kits to work with so that I continue to make time for stamping at LEAST once a month! As always I could have made more with this month's kit, but was able to create 4 cards. Lisa put together this adorable "Sweet Pea" kit. Loved working with the MFT Pure Innocence girls! Please check out the 12 Kits blog for all the details along with all the other beautiful creations!

MFT Color Challenge #50
I just loved this month's MFT release! I got several of the sets :) I couldn't resist this adorable monster set! So when I got my package I pulled this one out right away. That cute font of "hello" is a Silhouette font called Jaws & Claws which was the perfect one to go along with these little monsters. Although I didn't have the exact colors for the challenge, I used the closest ones I had. Here are the colors for this month's challenge:
And here's the card I created:

12 Kits of Occasion July 2016
What a fun Christmas in July kit we had this month from Marybeth! There were fun gold papers and nice patterns, there were cute images and wonderful die cut words. I'm so happy to now have 4 Christmas cards made! Not sure what was going on with the coloring in my photos, I promise the cards looks better in person ;) Don't forget to go check out the blogs of my fellow 12 kittens, too!

12 Kits of Occasions June 2016
A birthday to Die(cut) for....how cute is the name of this month's kit?! Joyce is too creative, and I just loved everything she sent...and I am always in need of a birthday card stash, so I now have 4 more to add, thanks, Joyce! I didn't have any of the supplies that she sent along, so it was fun to work with some new goodies :)
There was a little boo-boo on this card, but nothing a wood veneer star couldn't cover up! The star wasn't included in the kit but everything else you see was :)
